The Lady

Third in the series of tarot-inspired title cards for my webcomic Children of the Glyph.

This card represents Nea Isika, one of the main characters. Patient, mature, and steadfast, Nea is the foster mother of Makhe. She was once a fearsome warrior who fought for her lord's honor in the arenas alongside her beloved aegial, Chardis. After the untimely death of her aegial, Nea abandoned her past life in the hopes of starting anew, but the scars of her past never fully healed...and a letter from an unexpected friend prompts Nea to return to that life if she wishes to protect the ones she loves.
