The Sylori - The Kingdom of Satisa

Introducing a little bit of my long-in-progress new "species", the Sylori! Expect to hear more about them in the near future as the Aetherion website and group comes closer to being finished.

This was part of a series of paintings I wanted to do centered around the different "dominions", which are four distinct cultural groups that make up the spacefaring Sylori. The Sylori are a pretty big part of the Aetherion and how all my other species sort of come together within it. Pictured here is Satisa, which is a kingdom based around these vast cities carved from huge coral-like formations in the aether. According to Sylori legends these structures are the bones of the dead creator goddess, Gaia...
